Cathy Eaton writes:  “I am looking forward to our 50th reunion in May 2022. I have attended each of our reunions and treasure reconnecting with classmates.  I retired six years ago and stay physically active by playing Pickleball, kayaking, cross-country skiing, hiking, and swimming. My husband and I were very happy to visit Mark and Mary Lee Clemons Blatchford in Apex, North Carolina. When Covid started, I decided to learn how to paint. I started digitally, then began painting with acrylics , then using watercolors.  I generally do four to six new paintings a week.  I hope to take more painting courses in the near future.  Up to now, I have mostly done online tutorials which I found very useful.  My website is cathyeatonartstudio.weekby.com ”

During the pandemic, Sarah H Gordon joined the Hamden Food Security Task Force in Connecticut.  She participated via Zoom meetings with the task force, advocating for local produce for the food pantries, and mobile food pantries for those without private transportation.  In 2022, the Task Force took delivery of TWO mobile food pantries and hopes to be able to put some local produce on board.  Sarah is so pleased!  Despite another surgery last year, she is up and moving each day.  Sarah’s yard is full of food trees, food bushes, and a very productive fig plant.
