March 2017

Register for Reunion…Make your travel plans!

Please register as soon as you can, online at As of March 4, 46 of your classmates have registered. To see who has already signed up, check out this site: See who’s coming to Reunion. For some of our programming details, see our February newsletter.

Take the survey!

Please take the class survey, whether or not you can attend the reunion. You can take it online or download it, print and mail it in. The survey results will be announced at Friday night’s dinner. Take the survey (or download it) here.

Singers needed!

Were you a Smithereen, Smiffenpoof, or some other ’72 singer? Please join Louise Parent’s a cappella group which will perform at Saturday night’s dinner. This can only happen if we get enough singers! Contact Louise at

Look for the latest on our Facebook page or Website!

Remember the Facebook page is private, so we need to hear from you if you want to be “invited” to join it. Email Beth at or Gail at Check out pictures from mini-reunions and reunions past, and please post yours!

Let us know…

Would you like to be part of the program? Is there something you’d like to share with your classmates? Email Gail at or Nancy at

It’s Mini-Reunion time!

If you live near Boston, Massachusetts or Vero Beach, Florida, you are in luck, with mini-reunions planned for March 19. The LA mini-reunion will be on March 25. If you live near NYC, Chicago, Philadelphia, Austin, Houston, or Dallas, stay tuned, planning is underway, and offers to help gather local classmates would be very helpful! Plan your own mini-reunion with nearby Smith friends! Make plans to join us in May if you can, and share your get-together pictures in any case!

Look out for your Suffragette-white (Parade-white) clothes

Hopefully your white outfits have not gone out with your Marie Kondo de-cluttering! Start to think about how you will piece together your WHITES for the reunion parade!

Consider arriving Thursday and joining the walking tour:

Reminder: please email Ginny Gottlieb at if you would like to join the walking tour of historic Northampton from 3:00 to 5:00 on Thursday afternoon (a good reason to arrive on Thursday!). We will gather at 2:30 in the living room of Franklin King. The cost is $10 (to be collected then). We will be able to leave luggage in Franklin King at that time (a student ambassador or member of the reunion committee will be there.) Please note that access to your room begins at 4 p.m. that day.

Best regards,
Nancy LeaMond and Gail Shearer
